Galveston’s 70-block historic downtown is a veritable treasure chest of shopping.  But here are four antique and vintage shops you absolutely must visit:

Strand Brass
Family-owned and operated, Strand Brass has been serving tourists and locals alike for over 30 years in downtown Galveston. Located in the heart of The Strand Historic District, the cozy boutique features a wide array of products, ranging from one of the largest collections of Tervis Tumblers on the Island, to its enchanting Christopher Radko Christmas ornament collection. For the ladies, Lilly Pulitzer agendas, coolers, wine glasses and accessories have been one of the store’s top-selling brands for years. Once you’ve visited Strand Brass, you will see that it is no surprise this is one of the most popular shops on Galveston Island.

Fit Tri Run
Fit Tri Run began as a passion for running, roller blading, triathlons, race walking and most outdoor activities. Since then it has blossomed into an all-inclusive specialty store designed to promote healthy and active living, and provide training and education.  Fit Tri Run features a vast assortment of products, including athletic shoes, apparel, nutrition and accessories to create happier feet and happier moving bodies.

Old Galveston Trading Company
The Old Galveston Trading Company, located in Historic Downtown Galveston on Postoffice Street, has provided its customers with exceptional service since 2011. The shop features a wide array of home decor products and furnishing, including local artwork, handmade cards, and imported furniture - as well as a variety of their ever-popular Singing Bowls. Offered in antique brass, handcrafted crystal, and other fine materials, these transcendent treasures produce sounds which invoke a deep state of relaxation, reduce stress, and aid in healing.

Hendley Market
Known for its eclectic selection of antiques - including everything from medical instruments to nativity scenes - this store is a haven for seekers of unexpected, offbeat gifts such as books, paper goods and jewelry, plus the fascinating and macabre assemblage work of Galveston artist Robert Dampier. Keep an eye out for a three-legged cat, which has been known to nap on the historic building’s skylight.
